EASTPAK AIRTIME LONG-TERM REVIEW

Posted by Mark on 17.04.2008, 01:51

Eastpak Bags - Top quality!

Generally, when we here at Style43 are lucky enough to be sent items to review by companies, we’ll use them for a short period of time and put up a review giving our thoughts and feedback. With my Airtime backpack, I decided to go a different way. Backpacks get put through a lot - this particular model’s easily covered over a thousand miles of riding, train tracks, A-roads and motorways and just walking, whether it’s on my back, stuffed in a boot, crammed into an overhead storage compartment, or being lugged around by it’s top strap - so why not do a longer test, to really see how good a product is?

THE ANTIZ HOBOS EASTPAK RIDE

Posted by James on 21.03.2008, 13:01

Shits gonna get messy
Picture this.. 10 days, 10 dudes trying to find sweet skate spots in the dirty south of Spain on nothing but 10 dilapidated motorcycles and Eastpak back packs with the bare essentials. The tour starts on the 3rd April and the guys will update their page with pics and news from on the road. It all sounds so much of a recipe for disaster it sounds amazing and I’m sure its gonna be epic.
stay tuned..

ANTHONY LISTER

Posted by Jen on 19.03.2008, 17:29

I’ve been a fan of this artist for a while now. There is something about the mood, simplicity, originality and pure genious of Anthony Lister’s work that proves our generation has moved to forefront of the Art world. We did an article a few weeks back with Melbourne based jewellery creator Hayley Mei which was just a small taster of what our generation of this nation have to offer.

I sometimes feel the creative talent that pours out of Australia sometimes goes un-noticed to the majority of the world. Thats why I chose to do this feature, focusing on the work and life of Brisbane-born, Brooklyn-residing painter and installation artist, Anthony Lister.

SPACE INVADER - INVASION IN THE UK

Posted by Jen on 11.03.2008, 16:43

For those old/young/cool enough to remember Space Invaders, the video/game phenomenon of the 1980’s, will have noticed around London and other European Cities, tiny mosaics from French Artist Space Invader.

He has been filling the streets with his work inspired by the original game for the past 10 years, spreading them over more than 35 of the world’s biggest cities. This year sees the third self-released book by Space Invader ‘Invasion in the UK’ following up the previous books of Los Angeles & Paris, which is available to buy online now.

HOT CLUB DE PARIS

Posted by Henry on 10.02.2008, 02:30

At this point in time, I only listen to 2 records on my ipod ever. The first one is Boys From The Blackstuff by the legendary Down and Outs which is undoubtedly one of the best records I’ve ever owned. The second is the Hot Club De Paris album, which is also by a bunch of dudes from Liverpool and is a banger.

SLAM CITY SAVING SOUTHBANK!

JASON PHELAN, TO PEDALS...SOUTHBANK MUTHAFUCKA!!! I just clocked this as well, and it definitely warrants a post.

Given most of the people involved in this site met at or have lots of memories associated with Southbank, I thought it was important to draw peoples attention to the Save Southbank campaign.

INTRODUCING… NEGRETE.

Posted by Jen on 12.09.2007, 17:22

Pronounced ‘Ni-gre-tay’, -this is possibly the only t.shirt company I’ve come across online that has something special to offer. These aint your standard shitty quality, unoriginally designed t.shirts either.

‘Cult Classic, Not Best Seller’ -Damn right. Born out of a fondness for British and classic 90’s Hip Hop, animals, fine dining and boozing, talking rubbish, attempting to kick push or be BMX bandits, football, love, rock n roll, swearing and being British.
