DJ VADIM “U CAN’T LURN IMAGINASHUN” ALBUM REVIEW

U Can't Lurn ImaginashunFuck yeah. That's what I have to say before anything else, because that was the first reaction my ears had when listening to this album. Not literally, like some David Cronenberg shit, but there was definitely some aural joy in effect and it definitely came courtesy of the Russian Percussion. If you caught the single review I posted a month or two ago, or if you've been lurking on MySpace, or even better, if you actually bought the single when it came out, then you'll already be familiar with three of the tracks from the album - "Hidden Treasure", "Soldier" and "Saturday". They are joined by another 15 songs to make up this welcome return to music, by one of the UK's favourite beatmakers.

DJ VADIM “HIDDEN TREASURE” SINGLE REVIEW

DJ Vadim - Hidden Treasure Summer is on the way folks, I can feel it in me bones. But if you needed more proof, just look at the abundance of sunny sounding rhythms that are being released just at the right time to be heard blaring out of car stereos and wide open windows, when the sun does eventually put his hat on properly. I reckon one of the biggest singles to drop will be "Hidden Treasure" by the original white Russian, DJ Vadim. The reason for my predictions? The infectious Ska samples and velvet smooth vocals for a start. The voice comes courtesy of Sabira Jade, who comes from the jazz school of singing, and what a voice it is. I see BIG things coming from her in 2009.
