I keep reading things that make me feel old. Like the fact that it was a whole decade ago that Mr Scruff released that inimitable opus, "Keep it Unreal". Inimitable, even by the man himself as I reckon I wouldn't be alone when I say that the material which followed, while still being worth a listen, didn't always reach the heady heights of his second album. And maybe that's why this year has seen the release of a digitally remastered 2CD version of "Keep it Unreal".
I am always a little cynical about these reissued, remastered marketing ploys, even where everyone's favourite tea drinker is concerned, but this one comes with six new little beauties, previously unreleased, which are taken from the original recording sessions.
