    SUSPECT PACKAGES LIVE!

SPL March It's that time again, folks: Suspect Packages Live is looming and looks set to be another stormer. Not content with one launch party this month, Disorda has thrown two of them into the mix! Yes, the stage is set for Fliptrix and DJ Roast to come and peddle their wares, and if the former's new album is anything to go by, this night will not disappoint.

ABOVEGROUND & STYLE43 PRESENT: “IT CAME FROM ACROSS THE POND”

!!!! It's all been a bit quiet round these parts over the past few weeks, what with us relocating and not having any internet access. Plus all that festive cheer being rammed down our throats, kinda drained all the creativity out of us. Luckily free internet access is everywhere these days and so I've finally managed to drag myself away from the festering mass of turkey, chocolate coins and neverending Tim Allen movies, to see what we've missed out on since we were last on it. And where better to start than the UK compilation we dropped a fortnight ago, thanks to our American friends at aboveGround Magazine.

ORPHANS OF CUSH “WHITE NOIZE” REVIEW

CushThe wait is over, folks. The mighty Orphans of Cush is out today, so what better time for a little review. For those who didn't see our earlier article and still don't know what is going on, Orphans of Cush is a collaborative project, bringing together the vocal stylings of Triple Darkness cronies, M9 and Cyrus Malachi, alongside Masikah and Kyza. In a word: BIG. The release has been deservedly hyped over the past few months and as you'd expect from such a high-calibre lyrical quartet, the deliveries are on point and the content is packed full of mysticism and street commentary - the sort of themes now synonymous with the Triple Darkness camp and its many affiliates.

    ORPHANS OF CUSH

OOC Some of you might look at that title and think, "aren't we all?", but don't worry this isn't some sort of social commentary on the lost generation of weedheads, this is in fact the start of something immensely dope. Fans and followers of the Triple Darkness collective will probably already be aware of this new project and some of you may have seen the name being banded about in hip hop chatrooms for a few months.

    M9INE INTERVIEW!

M9ineRegular visitors to the site will already know that here at Style43 we carry a torch for the Triple Darkness collective and M9ine in particular, thanks to his immense 2008 offering, "144,000". So when the opportunity for an interview cropped up, we didn't even have to think about what our answer would be. Here's what went down:

    TRIPLE DARKNESS INTERVIEW

MCs Nasheron & Cyrus Malachi aka Hackney based duo Phalanx Heresy teamed up with the West London based M9 to form Triple Darkness. After their debut album 'Anathema' being reviewed on the site a few weeks back, we thought it would be cool to get some words from the guys in this interview in the run up to their much-hyped support slot with Redman & Method Man later this month in London. The album, featuring Skriblah DanGogh, Blind Alphabetz, Kyza Smirnoff, Amenoir, D21, & Blasphemy, and produced entirely by Beat Butcha & Chemo...went off a storm down here at Style43.
