    LDZ “THE LONDON ZOO EP”

LDZWho doesn’t enjoy a trip to the zoo, eh? I mean I’m sure there are some horrendous zoos around the world, but generally in this country we do alright. The animals are rare and entertaining enough, even seeming genuinely happy most of the time and the wee beasties in LONDONZOO are no exception. Yes, the dirty half-dozen are back with a brand new EP and a lot of filth. “The London Zoo EP” brings us the usual mix of comedic smut and barely legal beats that have helped cement a place in UK hip hop for Dabbla, Cobes, Rocksta, Sumgii, Pierre Green and DJ Frosty. Five individuals and a dubstep remix make up the track listing, with a nice mix of beats from the locals, Sumgii and Pierre Green, as well as Philly B, Voltage and Zemon. Philly B opens things up with the obvious anthem of the EP, “Everybody Does It”, which is packed full of dank and dirty rhymes from Dabbla and Rocksta.

SKUFF & INJA “THE SKUFF & INJA SHOW” RELEASE

Skuff and InjaSo, Inja's back and this time he's brought his compadre from Delegates of Culture, Skuff. While still riding on the success of the former's huge single, "Hat Low", they're releasing more hip-hop-dubstep-electro-funk madness but this time in the form of a full length album. Who knows what earlier suggestions for the album were, but they've settled for the not very exciting, "The Skuff & Inja Show". That's not the real cover either. They're only just finishing off the artwork apparently, so I nabbed this from Skuff's Myspace.

    BLOC WEEKEND 2009

BLOC banner ‘Epic’, that’s what I call it, ‘Epic’. BLOC 2009 is over. Travelling seven hours forth and eight hours back was well worth every second of what seemed a never ending journey at some points. If there were people praying to God for a good festival, I thank them along side the organisation of this massive underground electronic music festival, held in the beautiful countryside of Minehead. What a nice place to live that is, green hills, the sea, strong breezes, little lambs, pretty houses, lovely people, and BLOC!
