About a little more than a year ago I discovered the Miami resident st.LaRok on myspace. You know how there are treasures amongst all the rotten apples on that website, well… this is one of ‘em. We stayed in contact ever since, and recently the American musical Saent dropped his Leap Year EP online through Miami Beat Wave.

The cover is pure graphic design sexuality, how sweet does that type look? It’s Herb Lubalin quality man! Props to ‘The Soulseed’ for that piece of work! Still, a cover doesnt make music sound good if it’s wack, the other way around good music DOES make a wack cover look good. Thanks to LaRok the cover looks even better!

Living in 2010 our entire generation has grown up with sample/based music and in the present it has reached a disgusting level. Every 12 year old can make a bashing loop with his new found fruits. As a matter of fact, my 14 year old neighbour dropped a so called album last year, after listening to it I didn´t like him any more. Luckely for me and my pessimistic point of view on sampling I got in contact with Saent LaRok. This dude, and his musical partners in crime know how to do it just right. Dropping a digital record with both vocal owned tracks and instrumentals is what keeps my ears warm in these snowy days, thank you man! As you might have noticed in my words already, I like it the Leap Year EP a lot!

I could go over it in detail now, analysing it track by track, but I don´t want to, I want you to listen, I want you to vibe. Please people get on your asses and dont move your feat, relax on your bed and put this tape on repeat.
