Madlib, his many incarnations and his 4 ton record collection always come with the goods. Too numerous to mention, but you all know the score by now anyway. Well now the Madliberator is in the lab creating a 12 part CD series under the title of “The Medicine Show“. Set to be released over the course of 12 months, it will be a collection of his new hip hop production, remixes and beat tapes. Plus soul, funk, Brazilian, psych, jazz and ‘other undefined forms of music’.

The first CD is going to feature Guilty Simpson and will be 17 tracks of new material and remixes, as a sort of prelude to the forthcoming “OJ Simpson” collaborative project. A track from the first Medicine Show CD, called “The Paper“, can be downloaded free here (right click & save). The official release date for the whole album is scheduled for next month. The second release will be a Brazilian special and we are also going to see the next installment in the Beat Konducta series among the other releases; more news on that as and when.
