The Souls of Mischief are due to make an in-store appearance, at the Covent Garden Carhartt Store, on Monday 9 November. In-stores are always good, for two reasons: they are free and they are a whole lot more personal than some of the bigger clubs, that legends like this could easily ram out.

The Souls are coming back after a nine year hiatus, which saw them join Hieroglyphics for a couple of albums, until 2003 when they went off the radar completely. Fellow Hiero, Del the Funky Homosapien, stated in late 2006 that the crew were due to record their fifth album and now finally it’s due to emerge on November 10. Plus it’s entirely produced by Prince Paul, which just adds to the hype.

And so in celebration of the release of “Montezuma’s Revenge“, they are doing the in-store show. The event is also going to feature some more trans-Atlantic vibes from Deep Rooted, as well as support from some peeps a little closer to home, Skandal and Charlie Sloth. DJs on the night will be Mr Thing and Charlee Brown, and your esteemed host for the evening will be Mystro.

And as if that wasn’t enough, there will also be free drinks and some giveaways from the ever-generous cats at Carhartt! The doors are 7:30 - 9:30pm and trust me, it will get busy. See you there, yo!
