TWIZZY GETS BUSY
When I was a kid, probably around 14 or 15, I became friends with a dude at school who gave me my first ever hip hop tape. It had “Illmatic” on one side and “Enta Da Stage” on the other, both albums that I still bang today. Anyway the guy’s name was Chris and we’d continue to bump into each other around Bristol until I moved away for a few years in 2003.
Chris was always one of those creative bods - snapping away on cameras or putting pen/anything to paper for some great piece of artwork - so I wasn’t surprised when I came back to Bristol and found out he was still creating shit 24/7. One of the many strings to his bow is the musical production he is doing, including a number of projects with Bristol emcee Twizzy.
They just made a new song together called “Blessings“, alongside fellow Southwest heads DeeGreen (Demorus) and Jay Wilcox (Reprazent), and it is lovely, with that perfect end-of-so-called-summer vibe. Chris made a video for it too and you can watch it above. If you’re ever in the Bristol area keep an eye out for a live show coz they’re definitely worth a watch. this is sick, i fink ive seen the guy playin the keyboard, sumwhere playin keyboards, yeh man, defnatly, he plays keyboards. twizzy is a wicked rapper but his names really weird, can sum1 tell me y hes called that?? dope on toast ppl!!!
