INAPPROPRIATE MEDIA
I was going to write a big piece about this, full of rage and bile and wit, but then I thought no, let the people see & read for themselves what this bunch of wankers think they're doing, but in reality their argument is more pointless and childish than the work of Banksy ever could be. Mr. Lif is back in our lives and he brings with him one of the timeliest records ever produced in hip hop. Always one with his finger on the pulse, Lif has seemingly taken every concern and every bit of anger shared by the rest of the planet over the current financial pandemonium, and then crammed the whole thing into, "I Heard It Today", his 3rd studio album.
I reckon that politically motivated music can either be a seen as a valid advocate for change, or as some sort of jumping-on-the-bandwagon/marketing ploy. Luckily what we have here falls solidly in the former category.
