BOW AND ARROW ARE INCREDIBLE

I just got back from a show at the Old Blue Last, Annihilation Time were supposed to play but for visa reasons couldn’t make it. Luckily, I hadn’t bought a ticket and only found out about the show today, but for all those Annihilation Time fans who had their hopes up, it’s gotta be a bummer.
Then again, you did get to see Bow and Arrow. Another amazing band from Liverpool full of nice dudes who completely shred. They remind me of Electric Wizard and the Melvins. They’re super heavy, fairly slow but not in a doom-ish way, and the guitar solos are fucking ridiculous. Pure, unadulterated head banging amazingness. I’d not seen them live until tonight, but I was so impressed I was compelled to share my enjoyment with you lot. Imagine if Bongzilla weren’t so high all the time basically. Also playing were Shitty Limits who were awesome and had people bouncing around all over the shop and Cold Ones did a sneaky surprise set before the Plight, which was full of the energy and good times.Cold Onesalways seem to deliver. Any band who’s lead singer asks you to help draw on them in stolen eyeliner must be good. Proper Rock ‘n’ Roll that is la’. I missed the Plight because I went riding before the rain kicked in.
I’m going off topic though. Bow and Arrow. What a band. I know each person has their own tastes, and all these opinions are subjective, but even if I don’t like something I can still appreciate whether or not it is good. A bit like semi skimmed milk. Give them a listen, when have I ever steered you wrong before?!
