HOT CLUB DE PARIS

Posted by Henry on 10.02.2008, 02:30

At this point in time, I only listen to 2 records on my ipod ever. The first one is Boys From The Blackstuff by the legendary Down and Outs which is undoubtedly one of the best records I’ve ever owned. The second is the Hot Club De Paris album, which is also by a bunch of dudes from Liverpool and is a banger. They’re playing a gig on 12th Feb at the Royal Albert Hall which is sold out but if you’re going I’m dead jealous. I’ve heard everyone in Hot Club is a fuckin king, and they have Howard Cooke of Walk The Plank (probably the best Liverpool hardcore band ever), Cold Ones and Heroin Skateboards fame doing stunts in one of their videos. The video upstairs in fact. I challenge not to like them, it can’t help but cheer you up!

Here is a bunch of links for people mentioned above who definitely deserve links:

Dead And Gone Records who put out Walk The Plank (RIP) but visit the site and buy whatever Walk The Plank record you can, and then buy any other record D&G put out because they’re all fuckin sick and Ian is a hardcore legend and has done more for hardcore than anyone I know or am likely to know ever has. Support ‘em you tight bastards!!!!!! Buy a shirt, chicks will dig it, trust me!

Secondly, Hot Club who have a website here and a myspace here and are worth discovering and supporting because they are cheerful songsters and are half of my musical weekly intake.

Thirdly, Cold Ones because Cold Ones are fuckin good dudes who play good shows and make people enjoy themselves. Also Heroin Skateboards because their new video is wicked and Howard skates for ‘em and they do good shirts.

My weekly music advice session is over, if I don’t see at least one of you knobheads at a gig soon, you’re gonna get stickmanned to fuck (1 minute 35 seconds in…be afraid)!!!

Kissing girls is real.
