Back for 2008, Speakers Corner present End Of The Weak UK MC Challenge. This year we begin as EOW Champions thanks to Stig of the Dump taking the title for the UK at the end of 2007.

Now its all eyes on us. The UK has been the grooming ground for some of the tightest rhyme schemers on the planet. The art form is universal and inspired.

This EOW MC Challenge takes place in the USA, France, Germany, Holland, Spain & Brazil with more nations setting up. This year we defend the world title.

After four heats we will have four champions take the UK challenge of champions leading to the international challenge of champions which this year we may be hosting here in the UK.

The first heat includes:

Check them on their myspaces, they are all serious individuals. All recording artist. All established performers within the emerging UK takeover of international Hip Hop. This is not a challenge for beginners.

Each challenger will be tested on Stage Presence, Delivery, Skill, Crowd Response & Creativity over 5 rounds that showcase their Written, Freestyle & Cypher ability with their ability to be versatile. Each Heats champion walks home with £100 cash, studio time at the mighty Kilamanjaro Studios (Chemo at the controls), a radio appearance on Kiss100 with DJ MK & the chance to take the UK Challenge of Champions 2008 which will determine who will defend the World title for the UK.

You can wait 2 months for the footage as we promote the neat heat, or, you can come witness & taste the experience first hand yourself. We have a full live show arranged for the event and to revolve around the challenge.

Exclusive to this event we have Blak Twang performing a one time only live set with the SpeakersCornerQuartet. This is no small thing. Also on the live tip we have the Richest Man In Babylon himself - Dubbledge dropping a short set with masta flutest - Biscuit. Again not to be missed!
