VANS RYAN GUETTLER “WHIP” SHOES

Ryan Guettler Vans signature shoe looks a relatively simple designed shoe considering it creator is a kick as bmxer, however as with books, never rush to judge a book by its cover.
for the last year i personally have been running what normally might be considered more Bmx specific shoes, mid top’s, chunkiness with layers of over lapping leathers and material and tech dual rubber soles so forth. despite all those bells and whistles the heel didn’t offer any support, the many layers of leather seemed to be flimsy.

so when my paths crossed with the opportunity to run some Vans for the 1st time in about half a decade i was interested yet sceptical to if these vans could deliver.
there is a fact of life, there is never a right time to break in a pair of shoes, so sometimes you have to bite the bullet and do it. only after realising that i had ridden the entire day with out being aware of my feet and shoes in a negative way did i remember just how comfortable vans shoes are. my guess is with keeping the design simple there isn’t as many joining stitching thus less pressure and interference, the fewer but thinker leathers build a lite yet sturdy feel to the shoe.

features that benefit riding with these shoes are the reinforced heel, Vans “ImpactSorb” which stealthily integrated into the underside of the heel, and finally but most importantly is the sole, Vans own this sector in the industry, they got it right many years about and stuck with the classic waffle tread coupled with proven compound of the gum sole.
all in all, everyone need shoes, some people look for fashion, some look for function and with the nice colours the “Whips” come in you have both. get on ya bike (or feet) and check them out your self, you wont be disappointed.
